Technical Specs

IFONE cellular solutions were successfully assessed by the DISA Joint Interoperability Test Command with all DoD switches both non-secure and secure with NSA Type I encryption.
iFONE supports most wireless standards used in the world today including:

  • GSM
  • CDMA

In addition to wireless functionality, the iFONE system can also be configured to support access tandem traffic. The access tandem supports trunk to trunk traffic as well as trunk, line and inter-register signaling conversions. Call routing is based on ANI, PIC, Call Type, Subscriber Category, Routing info and Caller ID as well as Travel and Calling Card Validation.

The iFONE Mobile Switching Center can be integrated with a Prepaid/Debit operation. Service providers offering both voice and data services currently deploy diametrically opposed network strategies; circuit switched networks for voice traffic and IP based packet networks for data services.

iFONE has met the challenge. Our technology is fully interoperable through standard commercial interfaces. The iFONE solution is a programmable multi-protocol system that supports circuit switched protocols such as SS7, ISDN/CAS as well as IP based packet protocols such as SIP, H.323, MGCP and IPDC integrated within the MSC.
